Our solo dog walks are perfect for dogs who prefer one-to-one attention, need a bit of extra care, or are simply not suited to group environments. Whether your dog is in training, elderly, nervous, reactive, or recovering from injury, our solo walks offer a calm, focused experience tailored entirely to their needs.
Each solo walk is paced around your dog’s ability and energy level—whether that’s a gentle sniff around the block, a longer countryside stroll, or some focused enrichment along the way. These walks are ideal for building trust, confidence, and a strong bond between your dog and their walker.
While Emily started A Helping Hand offering only solo walks, our team has grown—now including trusted, experienced team members who share the same compassionate and positive approach to dog care. Everyone in our team is DBS checked, canine first aid trained, and fully insured. We work closely together to ensure consistent, high-quality care for every dog we walk.
All of our solo walks are based around positive reinforcement. We use treats, toys, praise, and patience to build positive associations and encourage desired behaviours.
Solo walks are also a great option for dogs who may eventually transition into group walks. Our team takes time to understand each dog’s personality, carefully assessing whether they might enjoy the company of others in the future.
Whether it’s short-term support or a long-term arrangement, our solo walks provide safe, stress-free outings that give your dog personal attention, physical activity, and plenty of TLC.
